The pandemic has forced China to close it’s borders to international students since 2020 to date. Chinese boarders are still closed and there are speculations that they will be opened for International Students in September 2022. With all this, what can we say about Studying Abroad in China? China remains one of the best destinations for international students despite the disruptions of the pandemic. Here are reasons why you should consider studying in China in 2022/2023 Intakes:

FULLY FUNDED CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
The Chinese Government Scholarship covers basic health insurance, accommodation, and monthly allowance up to 3500 Yuan (about $520USD). It intends to promote education, exchanges in education and politics, culture, trade, cooperation, and mutual understanding between other countries and China. This Scholarship is awarded based on academic merit. Be under the age of 25 for undergraduate applicants, 35 years for Master’s and 40 years for PhD applicants.

CHINESE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Chinese Provincial Government Scholarships invites applications from international students who want to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate or language studies at top Chinese universities. The scholarships are fully funded and cover accommodation, health insurance and monthly living stipend.

CHINESE UNIVERSITIES SCHOLARSHIPS
Most universities in China provide a wide range of scholarships: Scholarship Type A: This is fully funded covering tuition fees; Scholarship Type B: This covers about 80% of tuition fees, and Scholarship Type C which covers about 50% of tuition fees.
TUITION AND ACCOMMODATION FEES FOR SELF FUNDING APPLICANTS
- Fees for undergraduate degree programs taught in English ranges from $3,000 – $4,500 inclusive of accommodation
- Fees for postgraduate degree programs taught in English ranges from $4,500 – $6,500 inclusive of accommodation
- For those applying with O’ Levels only, they can do One Year Foundation Program paying about $3,000 inclusive of accommodation
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS
- Passport copy and passport size photo
- GCE O’ and A’ Level certificates (results) / or High School certificate
- Reference letter from previous school
- Motivation or study plan of about 500 words (we can write this for you at a fee of $20-00)
- Application processing fee of $180-00
- Agency fees of $130-00
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATE APPLICANTS
- Two recommendation letters from previous schools. If employed, one from current employer
- Motivational letter / personal statement of about 1000 words (we write this at $20-00)
- Degree certificates and transcripts
- CV
